HOW IT WORKS
A partner or family member may know your device code for everyday reasons. A different vault code lets you share access to the phone without sharing the secret that opens your private collection. Choose a code you have not already given someone.
Private Photo Vault® offers PINs, alphanumeric passwords and Pattern Lock. Choose the method that works for you, and keep it different from the phone’s unlock code. On supported Apple devices, you can also require Face ID together with your vault PIN.
After changing your settings, lock the vault and open it again to confirm what it asks for. A separate code protects the vault; it does not hide copies left in your camera roll, messages or other apps.
Choose a different code if you want protection from someone who already knows the phone’s code. Reusing that code removes the separation.
